When chefs were asked “What’s Hot in 2011,” locally sourced and sustainable seafood were in the top ten list.  Restaurants and retailers can count on the seafood industry from the Gulf and South Atlantic Fisheries Foundation, Inc. to provide high quality, fresh seafood from our sustainable Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic Ocean.  When you visit a restaurant or retail store in one of our states, make sure to ask “What seafood is local?”  You will love the fresh, ocean flavor of the many unique and wonderful seafood products from the south.  Some of our seafood groups offer a list of restaurants and retailers that serve local seafood.
